[Sherlock] Season 1 Episode 1 A Study in Pink (Part One) -- "The Game Is On!"

WAIT, WHAT HAPPENED?!!!
Let's get back to the beginning. Are you ready? 3, 2, 1, GO!!!!!

Welcome to the world of Sherlock!

Three things you should know about before I started:
- You will find out that the two main roles no longer called each other "Holmes" and "Watson", but "Sherlock" and "John". Man, it's 21st century! Who would still call the others by last name?
- BBC Sherlock has 3 Seasons until now, each season contained only 3 episodes which were 90 minutes long (much longer than a standard TV series).
- Since most of the audience (me included) thought that Season 3 (2014) didn't maintain the high quality of the first two seasons, I'll just give you introductions of my 3 favorite episodes from Season 1 (2010) and Season 2 (2012), and each introduction will be divided into two parts.

This is how the story began......

Waking terrified from the nightmare of his time as a army doctor in Afghanistan, Dr. John Watson seemed to have lost his mind.

In the 21st century, instead of writing diaries, John kept a personal blog (just like you and me!!).
However, as you can see, it's totally blank right now.

John then went to his therapist, but she didn't help much.

What John didn't know is, soon he would never say "Nothing happens to me." anymore......

As the scene changed, three people were taking a suspicious pill from a little glass box, notice that they all seemed horrified.

Since three people had been found dead mysteriously in London, Detective Inspector Lestrade and cops from Scotland Yard were having a press conference.
Despite nearly all the journalists doubted that "How can suicides be linked?", Detective Lestrade still insisted that they were suicides, because "The poison was clearly self-administrated, and the three people all took the same poison, they were all found in places they had no reason to be. We haven't found anything that links these people yet, but there has to be one."

Yep, if you don't want to be MURDERED, then DON'T COMMIT SUICIDE!!!!!
The IQ of the police has hit a new lowest record......

WRONG!!!!!!!
All the journalist got the same text at the same time, and Lestrade himself got a special one-- "You know where to find me", sent by someone called SH.

John seemed to have some injuries in his legs,
that he was walking with a crutch.

Walking aimlessly in the park, John ran into his old friend Mike Stamford from his time as an intern in Barts Hospital.

So, who was the first person saying "Who'd want me for a flatmate?"
(For your information, the lines of this section were almost the same as the original novel.)

First scene of Sherlock-- whipping a CORPSE, why not?
Next, check out what was going on when Sherlock and John met for the first time.

Okay, so John was like:

Not confusing enough? Let's see what happened next.
This part was just classic, so I have to put the video here. Try to understand what Sherlock said without reading the subtitles.

Obviously Sherlock had some communication problems, since he didn't reply to any of John's questions. And John said "Sorry, what?!" about three times in only a few minutes.

Good for you, John. At least Sherlock remembered to answer the most important one......

Take a look at what the modern version of 221B Baker Street was like!

What Sherlock said revealed that his only friend was a SKULL. Cool.

Detective Lestrade paid a visit to Sherlock, announcing that there was a fourth case from the "mysterious suicides", unlike before, the victim this time had left a note. Lestrade then asked Sherlock for help, Sherlock seemed a little bit reluctant, but then......

Uh, someone was jumping and dancing just because there was a dead person. John was probably thinking, there must be something wrong with this guy......

Sherlock: Want to see some more of violent deaths?
John: Oh, God, yes.
Me: Oh my goodness, what's wrong with you, John?

Not quite knowing why, John was out with Sherlock to the crime scene, which surprised their landlady Mrs. Hudson. Then Sherlock said the one of the most famous line from the original novel: "THE GAME IS ON!"

Another extraordinary scene, that Sherlock explained his deduction to John. I think what really impressed me was that most of the lines were from the original story, and this was just a perfect interpretation of a modern version.

Now we've arrived at the crime scene......

The victim this time was a lady who wore an astonishing pink suit.

Sherlock: Shut up!!!! Your thought is pretty annoying!!!! =3="

Sherlock assumed that what the dead
woman wanted to write was Rachel

The coolest thing about this show: you can actually see what Sherlock was thinking on the screen!!!

Totally pointless conversation, all because of Sherlock...LOL

Do forgive me, but this deduction scene is sooooo important, I can't bear the thought of not posting it!!!

First, you can see that Sherlock had very poor EQ, he humiliated people even without knowing it. Second, I think John was the only one who gave Sherlock compliments, perhaps that's why he's the first and last LIVING person who could make friend with Sherlock XD.

That's right, Sherlock just dashed out and left the poor John behind. What would happen to them next?.......

To Be Continued.......

    1. Haha many of my friends who watched the show loved the bromance (shhhXD).
Regardless of that, I think their friendship was so deep and firm, that's really the kind of friendship that I always want, I think.

    1. I'm so glad to see someone who loves Sherlock as well!!
I also watched it for about ten times I guess XD.
Sherlock is indeed very intelligent but sometimes he behaved like a 6-year-old, that's what I found the funniest.
In fact, the editor once said that the mental age of Sherlock is actually 6 years old LOL.
